Alternatively, if you arrive at Arusha Airport (ARK), your transfer to Karatu is equally captivating, though shorter. After breakfast, you have the flexibility to either explore the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu or depart directly from Karatu, depending on your preferences and flight schedule.

Option 1: Explore Mto wa Mbu

If time allows, enjoy one of the following optional activities in the lively Mto wa Mbu area:

After your chosen activity, you’ll enjoy lunch in Mto wa Mbu before starting your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight. The drive to the airport from Mto wa Mbu is approximately 3.5 hours (240 km).

Option 2: Departure from Karatu

If you prefer a more relaxed morning, you can unwind at your lodge in Karatu before starting your journey to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport. From Karatu, the drive to the airport is approximately 3.5-4 hours (250 km).

Main Destination: Mto wa Mbu Village (optional) or Direct Departure from Karatu

 Validity: The visa allows for a stay of up to 3 months in Tanzania Mainland and
