Arusha – Materuni Waterfalls

Morning
Start your day with a scenic drive from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi to Materuni Village, located at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and receive a warm welcome from the Chagga community. Begin your guided hike to the breathtaking Materuni Waterfalls. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of the lush green hills, coffee plantations, and the towering Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). Learn about the local flora and fauna as your guide shares fascinating stories about the region. Upon reaching the falls, take a moment to admire the 80-meter-high cascade surrounded by a serene rainforest. Capture photos or dip your feet in the cool waters of the natural pool.

Midday
After enjoying the waterfall, head back to Materuni Village for an authentic cultural experience. Participate in a coffee-making tour led by the Chagga people. Learn the traditional methods of cultivating, roasting, and brewing coffee as you join in the process and taste a freshly brewed cup of the local coffee.
