Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport(ARK), your experienced driver-guide will warmly welcome you and drive you directly to Tarangire National Park, a scenic 2.5-hour journey. As you head towards the park, enjoy the picturesque Tanzanian landscapes, filled with vibrant colors and captivating views. Tarangire National Park, renowned for its iconic baobab trees and large elephant herds, will be your first safari destination. Upon arrival, embark on an exciting game drive, where you’ll witness the diverse wildlife of the park, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and an abundance of bird species.After a thrilling day of exploration, you will head to Karatu for an overnight stay at your selected accommodation. Settle in, relax, and enjoy a delicious dinner made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, as you reflect on the first day of your safari adventure.

Karatu – Lake Eyasi

After a delicious breakfast, you’ll depart from Karatu for a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Lake Eyasi, a unique and culturally rich destination nestled at the foot of the Great Rift Valley. Lake Eyasi offers an extraordinary opportunity to immerse yourself in the traditions of Tanzania’s indigenous Hadza and Datoga tribes, who have lived in this area for centuries. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a cultural walk through the local villages, where you’ll have the chance to learn about the fascinating way of life of the Hadza, renowned for their traditional hunting skills and deep connection with nature, as well as the Datoga, known for their skilled craftsmanship. You may also have the opportunity to witness a Hadza hunting demonstration, showcasing their traditional methods with bows and arrows—an unforgettable cultural experience. The afternoon will be spent further exploring the area’s rich heritage, with an optional visit to a local crafts market, where you can purchase beautiful handmade items as souvenirs.

Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, embark on a scenic 1-hour drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Once at the crater, descend into this UNESCO World Heritage Site for a full-day game drive. You’ll have the chance to see a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo, in this unique landscape. As you explore the crater’s diverse ecosystems—from grasslands to lakes teeming with flamingos—your guide will share fascinating insights about the area’s history and ecology. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the crater, surrounded by the beauty of the wildlife. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater walls and return to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and a restful evening.

Start your final day early with breakfast, then set off on a scenic drive to Lake Manyara National Park, just 30 minutes away from your lodge in Karatu. Once inside the park, enjoy a game drive that showcases its rich wildlife, including tree-climbing lions, flamingos, elephants, and hippos, all set against the backdrop of stunning landscapes. After an unforgettable day of exploration, you’ll leave the park and begin your drive back to Arusha, where you’ll be transferred straight to Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport for your onward flight.
